Project Update, 2/9/24

Hey Folks! So we're pretty close to wrapping up things with the new CD project, 7th ave South! We just have a couple of days planned to mix later this month at Stereobus Recording. Then it will be mastered by Dave Darlington and I should have copies in April, just before the May 1 release. I'm really looking forward to finishing up the project and releasing it! I'm also looking forward to the gigs, teaching and touring that will be happening around the release date. It'll start in April with some things close to the U. of Manitoba in Winnipeg, including gigs with Fabio Ragnelli's group, a local faculty jam we do and a performance in Brandon Manitoba. I'll be finishing my teaching for the year then as well. Then I'll fly to Denver to perform at the jazz club Nocturne, and to teach and perform at Colorado state univ. for a few days. I'll be at the Rex in Toronto May 1-4, the week the CD will officially be released. Then I'll have a couple of performances in New Mexico May 16-17th. Later in the month I'll fly to England for a week+ of gigs. Then I'll be back in NYC to perform with Quincy Davis' group at Dizzy's June 11th. I'll have a night at the Deerhead Inn in Pa. with my group, June 15th. And July 17th I'll be bringing my group to Dizzy's. There will probably me a few more things that come in, but it's nice to be able to do some touring to promote the new recording, and see old friends along the way!
